Room rates quoted are subject to tax, which is currently 15.725%.
Effective January 1, 2005, $1.50 will be added to all occupied sleeping rooms. This charge called the "KC Development Fee" was voted on by the Kansas City voters in the recent election. This fee will be used in the redevelopment of the downtown infrastructure, including a new arena. The $1.50 per night KC Development Fee will be in addition to the sleeping room rate and is taxable. This group rate will be honored for the Heartland Trauma Conference attendees for three (3) days before group arrival and three (3) days after group departure based on availability.  A room block for conference attendees has been set until (30) thirty days prior to event.  After that date, reservation will be upon availability but they will be at the group rate.
